Once upon a time Leslie Bester shaped the electrons to say...
>Is it possible to have an entry in raddb/users that specifies a telnet user
>that has no password?

>What i'd like to do is have a user entry called "shell" that just telnets
>to the machine I use for shell logins.. but I don't want a password for it.
>I've got it configured with Password="" and it asks for a password, but
>just hitting enter lets you in.. but I don't want that.

The RADIUS protocol requires the NAS gather a username AND password before
the RADIUS server is ever contacted. So any RADIUS client will always
prompt for username and password, no way around it. And the protocol does
this very deliberately - checking just on username first to see if a
password is needed would double network and server load for RADIUS for
nearly every installation.

If you want an account with no password, put it in the PMs local user table.
