What irks me more than anything is when a reply has the sig quoted back,
especially a long sig. Does this do any good? Except when a message has
quotes going back in the thread and even then it is more for those that than
cannot count the "alligators."

Hmmm... I wonder what percentage of e-mail bandwidth is devoted to sigs and
quoted sigs? The content in some is less than the sig (I admit some guilt
to this, but 'Done!' is economical for some requests).
