1/2 of my portmasters, when teleneting to a unix host (anywhere in the
world) will open and then immediately close ... like:
nac-rox1> telnet iago
Trying 206.249.65.30 ...
Connected - Escape character is '^]'.
Connection Closed
nac-rox1> telnet [ANYWHERE ELSE]
Trying ANYWHERE ELSE ...
Connected - Escape character is '^]'.
Connection Closed
but, when i try from the other portmasters:
nac-whi2> telnet iago
Trying 206.249.65.30 ...
Connected - Escape character is '^]'.
Linux 1.2.13 (iago.nac.net) (ttyp0)
iago login:
Any ideas? There is no rhyme or reason -- I have checked:
o ComOS version - all different versions on different boxes.
o Frame or Dedicated T1 - not this.
o Reverse lookups, they are all set.
o routes... no problem..
