modems in PMs

Since I've seen some confusion I want to clear something up.

The PRI unit will be a NEW BOX not a card for the PM-2e units. Believe me
this is a far better solution, 1 PRI is 23 lines in the US and 30 in Europe.
The PRI unit will be available to handle one or two PRIs, so 46 US and 60
in Europe.

I just want to head of confusion that could result from people talking about
the 'PRI card' like it is similar to the 5-BRI card.

Now, someone had an offhand comment about guesing the modem solution would
be a 5-BRI card with modems. No, this is not the case at all.

However, we *have* had requests for just such a thing. As always, if the
demand warrants it then maybe it will happen. But the PRI is first, and
once that is out it won't surprise me if the requests for modems on a
5-BRI card fade away.

In the more immediate future we're concentrating on OSPF as the last of the
bugs we've found are squashed and the beta is looming as soon as we are
comfortable with the code. We have a test network running it in house, yes
it really does exist. And the finishing touches are going on 3.3.2.
