Sounds like you have heat problems - I've seen these symptoms before and
they are usually solved with a box fan or two and good climate control.

Well, you get what you pay for. I can tell you horror stories about the
US Post Office that standardized on the lowest bidder - Zoom - and never
did solve the connect problems to my knowledge (I was at Xylo at the time).

USRs position has traditionally been that for heavy use - ie an ISP - the
Courier is the right modem. And Sportsters are more for end users, not
industrial use. The Couriers cost more because they are more reliable and
all around generally better modems.
