This was a manufacturing problem with the early MP16 units. We talked
with USR at InterOp and they said the problem was caused by an acid
residue slowing degrading components. We suffered through the same type
of problems with some of our first units. USR finally admitted to the
problem and they are now happy to exchange the bad units. The MP16s we've
purchased in the last few months have worked without problem.
