Rusty,

I am sure you know that I run both the Sportster and Supra modems. I will
have to give a slight edge to USR as far as compatability, but we do have
the rare few that need to start in the Supra part of the hunt.

When there is zero air circulation they get a bit warm, but the aluminium
cases help (just think if they were plastic). Just a little circulation
goes a long ways. Ever look a specs for heat sink material?

For $168 you can get 10 modem power supplies from Supra (add ~$17 per
modem). Have to remind the powers that be that I want just one... I will
make the rest that we need (or I'll just do it from scratch). Don't like
the power strip X-Mas tree effect.

Or the fact that they don't use a "good" and not generic string. Don't like
elaborate strings, but some minor additions help the Sportster's greatly.
The Supras have some additions for when/if I need to look at them on my system.

Say, what version ROM are you using on the Supra's? Sunday I will give
1.440-01 a try, which adds the origin of the retrain request and a few other
mods to the v.34 code. I expect to see more 28.8's after the upgrade from
1.440-04.
