Windows 95 & Netware 4.10

Greetings!

Equipment/Systems:

Netware 4.10
Sun Sparc (SunOS 4.1.3)
Windows NT Server 3.51
Livingston Portmaster 2E
Livingston IRIX 211
Most staff use Windows 95 notebooks
Some staff use Windows NT Workstation 3.51 notebooks

---

My objective is to give the staff the capabilities to call into the 2E and access the IPX and TCP/IP networks in the same session. Using Windows 95, I have established Dial-up Networking sessions that access and use the TCP/IP network fine. I have went through the proper procedure to enable Dial-up Adapter IPX/SPX compatible drivers. At the current time, the notebooks and machines I am trying to connect to the Netware 4.10 server with using Dial-up networking through the 2E, negotiate both IPX and IP. I can see the server, volumes, printers, etc...using Network Neighborhood after I connect, but I can not map or actually connect to the server. Everytime I try to map a drive from the server I get a message that states I am not logged in, even though it asks for a login the first time you try to map or access the drive. I use the Microsoft Netware Networks client and MSNDS service to connect to the 4.10 server when I am physically connected to the network.

How come I can not actually log-in to the 4.10 server and map drives using Windows 95? How can I force that login screen I get when I am physically connected to the network to come up after I connect using dial-up networking and negotiate IPX. I believe the problem is that the login it attempts to do when I try to map a drive does not login to a Netware Tree or context. So I need to force a normal login screen to come up after I connect, so it can log me into the Tree and context.

Could it be something with my Portmaster configuration?

By the way, Windows NT machines are able to connect and access the network (server) fine using Remote Access.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
