Filters on Office Router

I have configured serveral async Office Routers as dial-on-demand routers
for clients, and not had too many problems. However the last one I did, I
needed to also configure it for dial-in for IP and IPX. After some
heartache, I got ip dialin going fine, but configuring win95 to use IPX
failed every time. I noticed that a "display servers" command on the
Netware server included the router, but a "show sap" command on the router
only showed itself. I suspected the input filter on ether0 to be the
culprit. It had a set of ip filters defined, as I always had, but nothing
in the ipx or sap filters. Anyway, I added a "ipxsap permit"
to the filter, this didnt help. I then removed the filter alltogether, and
instantly I could see the saps from the Netware server. I tried dialing in,
and was successfully logged in.

Now the questions. This is pretty poorly documented in the manual. There is
not one example of either sap filters or ipx filters, and little
explanation of how they work. Does creating ip filters cause the sap and
ipx filters to also be activated with an implicit deny all being the only
entry? This seems to be the case, but is not what I was expecting.
