Zoom is the *WORST* modem brand I have EVER seen. I'm shocked an ISP would
ever use them.
BTW, if you set a PM to 9600 - that is it, the modem can't 'kick that up'.
The PM will not talk faster than it is set to talk. So you are creating a
major bottleneck. I hope none of your users are doing PPP, they must
suffer miserably at 9600. They may get a 24000 carrier, but the data
speed will be stuck at *9600* since the slowest point wins.
