We're doing it here, thanks to some support I got from the mailing list.
I am using 4 US Robotics Courier 33.6 modems at each end to supply approx
128kbps to the top of a ski hill. There is a tech note at Livingston
that talks about setting up dial-on-demand connections. This is where I
started, but I put the threshold at 0 so all lines come up at the same
time, instead of lines going up and down as badwidth is needed. Of
course the latentcy is still there (smae ping times for a 33.6kbps link
as for one with 4 modems), but throughput is excellent, considering the
costs of leased lines up here! In fact, I'm on site right now setting up
a conference as I type this. If you need more info, email me.
