We're in the process of switching over from Annexes to Portmasters, and
we've run upon a slight problem. On an annex, if you hit return at the
Login: prompt, it returns you to another Login: prompt....on a
Livingston, hitting return at the Login: prompt gives you a Password:
prompt. Unfortunatly, our software that has been distributed to all of
our customers issues a return upon connecting to 'wake up' the annex.
Now, when they do that with the portmasters, they end up entering their
username at the password: prompt and their passwords at the next login:
prompt. Is there any solution to this problem? Any way to make ComOS
return a login prompt on a return rather than a password prompt? Its
rather essential, since otherwise we have to get many thousands of
customers to change their software, which is nearly impossible.
