I am also having this problem. I've yet to call Hayes about it, but have
found for some odd reason, that a hard reset seems to cure it for awhile.
If you find anything out about this, please let me know. Reseting the port
on the PM also does not fix it for me.

It's funny you should say that, cause for the most part, all I get, are
connect 48800. Weird, but the throughput seems to be a good 28800 connect.
I think if you check, you'll find this as well.

For the most part a hard reset seems to work for a day or so, then back
again to OH. On a side note, I've also had them stay "connected" to
nothing, again tying up a line.
