Just went through this. My box said "Use only in PM2ER" and so did the
anti-static wrapper. The labels are completely incorrect, since there
apparently exists no version of the board that works only in a PM2ER.

The included install notes correctly state that:

Rev "C" works in both.
Anything before Rev "C" works only in the PM2E and not the PM2ER

I have a Rev C running in a PM2E just fine.
