I think there is some confusion as to what the first person asked and the above
fellow answered. The question was how to use 1 userid for shell or PPP login.
The fellow above most likely has multiple userids configured. This is how I do it too.
I give a shell account for username, and a PPP account for Pusername, and a
SLIP account for Susername.
