PM / Login problems

Greetings

We are currently having some problems with a Livingston PM (30 port
version) - running 30 x v.34 modems @ 57600 port speed. On version 3.1.4
of ComOS.

We are finding that about once per week the PM stops accepting calls, ie:

a client dials in
user id is verified (this works fine)
- if the user is a telnet client they are connected to our unix server
- if the user is a framed-user (ppp) they are disconnected immediately.

The portmaster seems to stop allowing PPP sessions for no apparent reason.

We've tried reseting the ports individually, however this makes no
difference - occasionally someone may be successful but 99% are not.

If a reset of the box is done then everything is fine again (until the
next time).

I've checked memory and the PM has about 175000 bytes available, we have
no users in our user tables - all authentication is done by Radius.

As a test I added a user to the user table to see if there was a radius
problem with our unix server - this had no effect.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Cheers,
