We're not talking about a physical port of course, just the logical port.
Nearly all communications softeware uses a comm port, as does quite a number
of hardware cards. The PL128 takes over a comm port so that any standard
software can use it just as if it were a standard modem. No special ISDN
software needed.

Sorry, we only plan to release the card as is - no specifications for
aftermarking driver programming. The drivers for the card are doing some
very clever tricks to appear transparent to the system, like any other
comm port.
