Once upon a time Jason Hatch shaped the electrons to say...

>ping our hosts or router even though I have a static route in my IRX as
>follows:

>206.72.205.0 206.72.196.1 NS 1 ether0

1. what is 206.72.205.0? Is it their C class?
2. What is 206.72.196.1?
3. What interface should their network be reachable through?

>It lists it as a NS for static route instead of NL like our network
>would appear in the route table.

NS means Network Static, NL is Network Local - ie it learned it becase
of the settings on an interface as opposed to someone entering it. ND is
Network Dynamic - a route learned via RIP.

>have an IP address in his network. That means 2 IP addresses on a single
>ethernet. Is this possible with an IRX? If not, what other measures can

No it is not. We support one IP per interface.
