I can't speak for all of MultiTech modems, but in 8 months of operations,
here is a grep-based report of our portmaster logs....

1 portmaster_1 error: port S0 spurious interrupts
1 portmaster_1 error: port S2 spurious interrupts
1 portmaster_1 error: port S21 spurious interrupts
1 portmaster_2 error: port S1 spurious interrupts
1 portmaster_2 error: port S29 spurious interrupts
1 portmaster_2 error: port S7 spurious interrupts
1 portmaster_3 error: port S29 spurious interrupts
1 portmaster_4 error: port S5 spurious interrupts
2 portmaster_1 error: port S18 spurious interrupts
2 portmaster_2 error: port S8 spurious interrupts
3 portmaster_1 error: port S17 spurious interrupts
7 portmaster_3 error: port S12 spurious interrupts
10 portmaster_1 error: port S8 spurious interrupts
2250 portmaster_4 error: port S0 spurious interrupts
2708 portmaster_4 error: port S1 spurious interrupts
6336 portmaster_4 error: port S19 spurious interrupts

Note that portmaster_4 has an ISDN card in it and has no modems attached.
Ports 0, 1 and 19 are hooked to PC's with null-modem cables. Anyone with
MT racks and lots of spurious interupts want to post? If there is a
problem, then it can be corrected as we have two full racks of 48
modems each which get heavily used.
