Of those 1700+ ISP's that they sell to, you're the first one I've heard
suggest that Livingston should spend time sending you extra paper to find
out what you want. Most of us send them email, call them, discuss the
features we need with Carl and Steve (Hi guys!), etc. I am quite sure that
Livingston knows what I want/need in their products. Guess what. In the
5+ years that I've been dealing with Livingston, I've gotten about 80+% of
the features I've asked for. I think they're doing a great job of listening
to and responding to their customers. There's still several features I'd
like to have that I don't. Join the club. However, Livingston still comes
alot closer than any other vendor I've seen, and they still have the best
support and price/performance metrics. Better yet, they've scaled the
company without losing the culture. In all this time, I've seen them
grow alot.
So far, the culture remains a committment to doing the right thing from an
engineering and product quality perspective. I've only seen one decision
come out contrary to that and it was minor. That's the decision to ship
the OR HS/LS without the V.35 cable.
