When I was one of the system admins for the Amdahl internet gateway
I setup two radius servers on one host. One ran the vanilla
Livingston 1.16 code and the other ran the Ascend modified code.

I changed the Ascend code to look for the service tradius and
put an entry into the /etc/service file using an different port
number. Compiled up the hacked version and made a mirror installation
of the Ascend information (/etc/traddb) including the rc script
changes to /etc/rc.local.

On the Ascend I changed the auth port to the new port number in the
/etc/services file.

Worked like a champ!!
