What software would that be? Anything that can't deal with dynamic IP is
either broken or exposing a clueless luser...or warrants a "dedicated"
dialup line which makes static IP trivial. All requests but one at our
ISP for static IP have been turned down. The one that got it is a guy
running worldgroup BBS with a "dedicated" 28.8 line allowing people to
telnet in from the net.

The warez d00dz / net addicts who want static IP so they can run FTP/IRC/MUD
servers, I tell to pay up (for dedicated) or bug off.
