I think what he means is the Password in Unix or Linux. My clients ask
me if they can use a password and username longer that 8 characters. I
say yes and it work fine, what they dont know is the Linux strips
everything after 8 characters so a pasword of "letmehaveapassword" is
actually "letmehav" and it will strip the rest and would also work
without the rest of the password.
