DTE Speed and ComOS

I had a few questions for you all. I was wondering how much of a
difference a DTE speed setting of 57600 is compared to 115200. I know
the 115200 allows for more compression, but doesn't also allow for
more framing errors. What do you all suggest? I am running Practical
Peripheral 28800 MT modems.

I have also seen a number of conversations on the proper ComOS. I was
using 3.3.1 but I was hearing that some of my customers were getting
dropped for no reason. Livingston tech support suggested changing my
ComOS to 3.3.1cs. I was wondering if this ComOS is good enough or if
I need to upgrade even farther? Also with all my new machines that I
am setting up should I immediately upgrade the ComOS as soon as I get
the machine.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
