Modem Table

I have two portmasters. I query "version" on both, and both respond with
"3.3.1".

When I do a "sho table modem" on one of them, I receive all of the system
modems as well as any user modems I added, just as expected. When I do a
"sho table modem" on the other PM, I get *no* system modems and only the
user modems.

Any idea what's up with that second pm?
