Unused WAN port filling logs with error messages

I just moved my incoming internet connection from the WAN port of my PM2ER
(Version 3.3.1c1) to another router and now I can't get the WAN port to stop
trying to connect across a T1 that is no longer there.

I've tried all the possible setting I could find using PMconsole (for
Windows 1.1) and every thing I could think of while telneted in, but still
get messages of one kind or another like this:

Sep 8 13:28:20 pm1 W1: Session Terminated - NAS Request - PPP Maximum
Retransmissions
Sep 8 13:29:22 pm1 dialnet: port W1 ppp_sync failed dest

How do I set the W1 port to turn it off, and do I have to reboot, or power
cycle to make the change take effect?
