Problem w/Mac PPP authenticating on PM2

With a few of our Mac customers, a problem arises where the last character
of there login name is not received during the authentication process. For
example, using a Mac w/ Config PPP 2.5 and Mac TCP a user who types in jdoe
will only appear as jdo to the portmaster. As a result, the user can not
log in due to invalid login.

We are using Radius 1.16 on Solaris 2.5 and using the system passwords
rather than the users file. The default user in the users file is as
follows:

DEFAULT Password = "UNIX"
User-Service-Type = Framed-User,
Framed-Protocol = PPP,
Framed-Address = 255.255.255.254,
Framed-Netmask = 255.255.255.255,
Framed-Routing = None,
Framed-Compression = Van-Jacobsen-TCP-IP,
Framed-MTU =1500

This problem does not seem to be specific to the users modem since other
Mac users with the same hardware are having no problem getting logged in.

Any ideas anyone?
