ChoiceNet is not connected to RADIUS at all. It is a seperate server that
may or may not run on the same host as RADIUS. AFAIK we will not be
releasing the source to it, just the binaries we support. You can use
ChoiceNet with or without using RADIUS.

Probably not. It is a competitive market, and those features are Livingston
enhancements to the server. They are not changes to the RADIUS draft, they
use existing attributes. All of the new services are due to the new server
code and how it handles them. It is a MAJOR rewrite to 1.16, so trying to
add the same features to an existing server would be a futile effort. You'd
do better to start over. We're also changing the licensing on 2.0 so it can't
be used as the basis for other companies servers - like Ascend used 1.16.
The market for RADIUS is a competitive one now, and we can't afford to give
away the source to give other companies a leg up after we invest out time
in developing the features. The same features could be done by someone
else, but not using our code to base it on. The source will be available
only on the CD-ROM sent to customers, not on the FTP site. And customers
are, of course, welcome to modify the source and share their hacks, as long
as it is free of any charges. The licensing agreement on 2.0 is stricter
too.
