No, but that is a Network (Hardwired) link, not Network (Dialin) which is
what I expect user connections ot be - unless they buy a leased line feed.
As has been pointed out by others, apparently you can configure the port
to be Network (Hardwired) with modem control on, and it will start PPP
when DCD is raised. So it works, but it isn't secure - *anyone* who gets
that phone number can connect.
