I've installed Sportsters for our ISP and we've got a PM2ER/20, we'll
expand to 30 ports soon. So far the problems has seemed more
troublesome that nasty but several of you have discussed problems with
Sportsters. The extent of my modem problems has been modems that have
failed to reinitialize after after hanging up. The result is a
ring-no-answer (some folks around here call it terminal ring). It is a
pain, and affects my service but I figured it was something with the
Portmaster not sending the init string (or something like that). I
issue a "reset s#" and it reinitializes just fine.
What am I seeing? Is it a problem with the PM or the Sportsters (or
something else?)
