Our users are dialing via FreePPP into a 2E that has USR Couriers (v.Everything)
on all ports (set at 115kbps), with the at&f1 init string on each modem. The
modems answer on 1 ring and negotiate PPP, but the CHAP conversation never
happens-- the first time, that is (client never sees "login:"). Redialing a
second time works, however. Power cycling & inserting an opening return in the
connect script has no effect.
Am I missing something obvious?
