First of all, with regards to the dial-in connections. The units support
PRI (24 channels per PRI port, right?), but can I assume from the
information that I read that if PRI isn't available (Don't ask), it will
support some form of Channelized T1? The reason I ask is that we've
wanted to switch over to channel-bank style modems, but we had a lousy
experience with bad connect speeds with all the A-D/D-A conversions
required of analog modems and digital channel banks. The PM3 seems to be
(finally) an answer to that, removing at least 2 of the conversions. Does
it actually remove more at the CO of the phone company as well?
Next I have a question on the software upgradability of the modems. I'm
sure you can't look all that far into the future, but I'm sure you may
have noticed the announcement from Rockwell about their new chipset. I
also heard that USR might have something in the works, too. How soon
after this technology is in place will Livingston be supporting it? And
(if they do support it), will it be a software upgrade, or will we have to
switch out modem cards? (Software upgrades usually can only go so far,
but with a digital modem its hard to tell. <G>)
Thanks for any help you can give me.

PS - One last question. <G> Availability early or late October? Any
idea?
