I have the same story in Western North Carolina. Except, today, I got a =
better answer that actually showed that it would be almost $20/month =
(*cheer*... yeah, right). cheaper for "MegaLink Service".

I got this answer after inquiring of the UCD (Uniform Call Distribution) =
service. I found out that it is not possible for "1FBs" (standard one =
pair line), but is through the MegaLink (T1) service.

I think the sales reps at BS have never had to deal with this properly =
before and are adding too many options to the order.

Subject: PRI Pricing?? :(

Hey folks,

We're in Western Kentucky where BellSouth (BS) is the reigning monopoly. =
=20
For some reason, in this area (and it seems *only* in this area)=20
channelized T1 pricing and PRI pricing are actually *higher* than=20
bringing in the lines on individual pairs. WTF?

Anyway, obviously we will be unable to use the PM3 which brings me no=20
small amount of grief. My question is, how much is everyone else paying =

for channelized T1's or PRI? Maybe we can someday make a case to BS and =

get them to realize that they won't see any of that crap without the=20
support of ISP's in the area...

please cc all replies to jeff@apex.net (digest version, blah blah...)
