You're not alone. We've looked into this several times in Gainesville,
FL...also hellsouth land...and have been told each time (even have some
quotes with hard numbers) that bringing in what they call megalinks will
cost us considerably more per month than copper pairs...and that it would
be quite a bit cheaper for us to dig up the parking lot to have a few
hundred more pairs brought in than to have multiple T1's installed.

I can't wait for the day other companies start selling dialtone, PRI, and
local loop T1's in hellsouth land.
Did I forget to mention...they've hosed our huntgroup again this week?
We've had 6 lines not in the hunt for at least two nights in a row now. I
think we will file an anti-trust complaint. This coupled with the fact
that BS just announced they will be selling net to the masses for
$19.95/month unlimited is just too much. How can they fairly compete with
us when they turn off our phone lines by accident? Do I get to go to the
CO once a month and turn off theirs?
