Using IP:
* A PC running a TCP/IP stack
* a client program on his PC to access the database unless telnet will do.
Using IPX:
* A PC running a IPX stack, Win95 has one.
* An IPX client, Win95 also has one.
* The phone connection between him and the Portmaster would require an IPX
number which can be done by setting his user profile to have an IPX network
number of FFFFFFFE.
set user billybob ipxnet FFFFFFFE
>2- Do we need to install the netware IP in the novell server to allow IP
>conncetion? In this case, how could he access to the database that is in
novell?
* If you wanted him to connect to the Novell server via IP then yes, you
would have to install IP on his Novell server and then you have to have a
login service like telnet for him to connect to the Novell server. At that
point though he is limited to a text interface and even that may not be
sufficient for his application.
