anyway, for the last few weeks and specifically the last two weeks we are
getting more and more complaints about abrupt disconnects until today when
just about everyone could login but were disconnected from 2-30 minutes.
we use the deskporte v.34 modems in the microcom QX rack. until now, they
have performed flawlessly.
questions:
1. is it time to upgrade comOS?
2. is there a modem init string for modems a little more robust than the
"ISP Recommendation" ?
3. is there a patch for these win95 users ? some sort of timing issue?
there are a wide variety of user modems, so can't blame it there except for
sportsters of about 1 yr old or the winrpi stuff.
