Here's the setup.
They have given me 206.85.161.229,230
I have a Linux box as My primary Host, connecting to their dial-in server
via V.34 Modem. A win95 Machine is hooked to my Linux box via ethernet.
I have the IP info set correctly on my end, at least to the point where my
linux box can talk to both the internet and the win95 pc. However, when I
have someone at the office (where I work, not the ISP ;) ping my second
machine, the packets aren't getting sent to my Linux box (no blinkin'
lights ;)
Here's my entry in the Radius Config:
*login* Password = "UNIX"
User-Service-Type = Framed-User,
Framed-Protocol = PPP,
Framed-Address = 206.85.161.229,
Framed-Netmask = 255.255.255.252,
Framed-Routing = None,
Framed-Compression = Van-Jacobsen-TCP-IP,
Framed-Filter-Id = "std.ppp.in",
Framed-MTU = 1500
Do I need to add some sort of value to the "Framed-Routing" field, such as
Broadcast-Listen, Some sort of static route? If I run some sort of routing
protocol, I imagine I would need to run a rip aware routing program on my
linux box such as routed, correct?
Right now I am masquerading the second box, so this is not urgent, but it
would be nice to get this working.
Oh yeah. one thing more.
The Class C I am on (206.85.161.x) is set to subnet .0 for everyone else.
can they mix my .252 netmask and the .0 on the same class C????
Thanks in advance for any help, and if at all possible CC any replies to
my work address, matsto@et.mohave.cc.az.us, so I get it sooner.
Matt
