While not completely the same, I have had numerous problems with the
Microcom modems as well, including a situation where the modem goes
off-hook and stays that way *FOREVER* until I manually pull the modem
out of the slot to reset it. This happens an average of 1 modem per
day...

I too have gone through all of the same steps, Microcom blaming it on
Livingston, upgrading the software in both the modems & the portmasters, etc.

I would be interested in this... We're using standard telco octopus cables
that we had to modify to be to specs.

I would have to agree at this point as well..

This is already in there... That's what the modem table is used for.
