The buds were there for what developed later. Remember that 1.16 is one of
the first RADIUS servers. It was a proof of concept in many ways, the fact
that it worked and caught on helped convince other companies to support it.

You're not the only one. Hopefully we'll see that improved over the
next year, it is on the engineering plan.
