We'r using 96 Microcom Deskport FAST-r modems in QX chassis. They'v been
working mostly fine (since ROM upgraded), until recently. We'v been having
a couple modems a night loose their brain, and spew garbage. it SURE WOULD
BE NICE if the PM could be set to send an init string after EVERY CALL (as
an option, of course). It appears as if somebody's modem doesn't like them,
and is causing them to revert to factory settings (which have a port speed
of 38400 and other unfriendly things). Microcom has been absolutely no use
in solving the problem, and I am reaching the end of my rope with these.
Anybody have anything to share??
