PM2 - modem reset software

Hi all:
Some of my 90 odd USR Sportster 33.6/28.8 modems occasionally run off into
the woods, or get run off into the woods when a POT calls a hunt line - and
then they won't answer. Resetting the PM port to which they are attached
clears the problem.
Earlier on this list, I saw mention of software (or a patch, cron job,
whatever) that would determine which modems were not in use (sh ses in a
telnet, let's say), and send individual port resets. This would be done
periodically - say every hour, without operator intervention, and could
operate on a 24/7 work station attached to the network ethernet - say even a
plain PC.
According to Livingston support, the PM itself does not have a feature like
this. Anyone know where such software - or whatever - can be obtained?
