That's another problem. V.FC is not universal, there are V.FC modems
that do not work with other brands doing V.FC. On top of that, you
also have V.FAST - which is different again.

The plan is to ship with V.34 (28.8) and do V.34bis (33.6) in a subsequent
release. We migfht be able to have 33.6 before FCS, but personally I'd
feel more comfortable with 28.8 for the first ship - push the envelope
after it is all working. IMHO that is better than trying to do
everything at once.
