The fact is we have no good way, right now, of dealing with the issue
you brought up. Ie, we have no way to blackhole route something.

What you are doing seems to work. It isn't by the book, but then, what
hacks ever are? We just don't officially sanction that. And it certainly
should not be used on a route you want to *work* for something. You are
using it to send packets into the bit bucket.

I did open an RFE for a blackhole ability BTW.
