After loosing a connection from the portmaster, if you can still log back
into it, do a 'show netcon' and you should see something like this:
pm1> sh netc
Hnd Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address (state)
495 0 0 pm1.mscnet.net.23 0.0.0.0.0 LISTEN
471 0 2 pm1.mscnet.net.23 mscnet.net.1047 ESTABLISHED
875 0 0 pm1.mscnet.net.23 mscnet.net.4227 ESTABLISHED

If you see a stale connection to port 23, note the number in the Hnd
column and then type 'reset n###' which will reset that network
connection. In my case I would type 'reset n471' to clear that connection
if it were stale.
