No. it is quite easy. RJ-11 is 6 pin, RJ-45 is 8 pin. Other that that they
are identical. I routinely use an RJ-11 patch cable for ISDN in an RJ-45
jack if I don't have an RJ-45 patch cable handy. Since ISDN uses just the
center 2 pins, it works fine.
Now, plugging an RJ-45 cable into an RJ-11 jack won't work...
