Network Conflicts

Just the other day. most of our networkk went down due to a conflipt of
IP addresses. We rebooted the workstations and most if not all said they
could not start tcp/ip due to a conlict in HW address with another
adapter. So we rebooted all of the machine to see which one was the
culprit. Came out to be the portmaster was causing the conflict. Go
figure. I wonder if I have the bug???? How do I knwo if I got the old
version.
