Answering a few of the early questions:
Q. Does 3.3.3 require more than 1MB of memory in a PM-2E-20 with 5 BRI
board even if SNMP and IPX are turned off?
Yes, most likely. Memory requirements depend on your exact configuration,
but that's probably not going to be enough to help.
Q. Why is 3.3.3 so big?
Actually, it was 3.3.2 that got bigger, 3.3.3 is about the same size as
3.3.2.
Q. How do I upgrade the memory in my PM-2E-20 with 5 BRI board?
Replace the four 256KB by 9 (parity) 30-pin 70ns SIMMs with four 1MB
SIMMs. Mixing SIMMs is not supported. The PortMaster will auto-detect
the amount of memory at boot time. You can use four 4MB SIMMs if you
want 16MB of memory, but there's not much point to that yet.
