I realize this question is highly loaded, but I think we all understand
that we don't expect Uncle Jed's 12 year old 300 bps Boca modem to
connect solidly through the world's first version of Winsock, but do give
us some idea of how the thing has been tested and what the results were...
BTW, we told BellSouth that AT&T was going to offer us PRI in our area
for about half the cost for which they were offering it. The downside is
this won't happen (this is from AT&T so, grain of salt everyone) until
the first quarter of '97. But, BellSouth did take quite an interest in
hearing this...
At any rate, if you're the victim of sucky tarriffs, get a quote from
someone else and call your LEC about it...let's see how bad they want our
business after they get some competition.
