Good luck!!!! I mean it... it took us about 6 weeks... anyway...
1. Get on the phone with a switch technician right away so they can
make changes on the fly. Don't let them try it alone! :)
2. TELL them it must be a "multi-line hunt" - this means something
special to them and small numbers aren't usually done this way.
3. TELL them you want data hunting (I have a pm3 question for all below).
4. TELL them you want 1 (ONE - NOT TWO) CSD/CSV (THIS IS MOST
IMPORTANT!). (basically # of calls accepted per B channel).
5. Setup all the portmaster B channel spids (using their unique spids).
6. The "directory" number on the portmaster seems to make no difference
whatsoever - set it to the right number for each B, or to the
lead hunt number, or blank, or to 1234567 for that matter and
it seems to make no difference. Hey - what's this for anyway?
7. cross your fingers and try ("attach s??" to one of the ISDN lines
and "atdt" to your lead in the hunt, login, do it again, etc..
to test it working). NOTE - if they only setup data hunting,
then testing it with a phone (like we do modems) will NOT work
- it must be tested with data calls.

Now, my question. BellSouth told me that they could setup a "DATA" only hunt
group or a "VOICE" only hunt group, but NOT BOTH. Can anyone tell me whether
this is the truth, ignorance, or what? I'm thinking of the pm3 with built-in
modems taking both voice and data calls - will it be able to hunt "BOTH" in
BellSouth land? Anyone doing it now? (I'm thinking that their answer was
ignorance - it has to work, right - all the folks using Ascend MAXs and
all...).
