Expandability.
An IRX-111 can go to a -112 or -114 with a daughter card. You can also
expand the RAM, you can't with an OR. That may be an issue with OSPF and
BGP. Large tables need more RAM. The OR is designed to be a stub router,
not a hub like an IRX.
But for straight use on one T1 port, the IRX and OR are nearly
indistinguishable.
